Silicone hydrophobizing agents are designed for final surface water repellent protection of absorbent silicate materials. They reduce water absorption of liquid water into the material surface.  But at the same time they preserve the original appearance and vapor permeability of the treated substrates. Their action can significantly extend the life of building materials both in terms of functionality and appearance.

Another benefit of the water repellent effect of silicone hydrophobizing agents

• increase resistance to frost damage
• decrease substrates contamination and washout of soluble parts
• reduction the conditions for the occurrence of undesirable micro-organisms

Silicone injection hydrophobizing agents are applied to damp masonry as an additional horizontal water repellent chemical shield. It acts against rising ground moisture when the original waterproofing layer fails or does not exist.
