Parameters
- Recommended dosing of the Lukopren Catalyst N2 - 3 wt. %
- Elongation at break110 - 130 %
- Thermal resistance of vulcanizate- 50 to + 250 °C, shortly 320°C
- Hardness of rubber55 - 57 °ShA
- Viscosity20 Pa.s
- Appearancered-brown rubber moulding paste
Silicone rubber with highest temperature resistance Lukopren N 5541
- Manufacturing of simpler, harder, solid, less elastic molds, thin-walled molds without a supporting bed for subsequent casting of low-melting metals - tin, lead, antimony (contains a thermal stabilizer of silicone binder, short-term withstands up to 320 °C)
- Production of temperature-resistant castings, pads, suction cups
- Separating or masking layers
(easily removable due to low adhesion to the substrate) - Preparation of dismountable flange seals (thermal and cooling units)
- Encapsulation and potting of electrical equipment for subsequent use at higher temperatures
(mechanical and weather resistance)
For rubber vulcanization, precise dosing of
Lukopren Catalyst N is necessary (more details in the technical sheets below)
The vulcanizate has very low adhesion to most substrates (can be peeled off), to enhance it, use a primer - Lukopren Primer A or N
When manufacturing molds, we recommend separating the template for easier demolding; silicone molds due to their self-separating properties do not require separation during use
The rubber paste is difficult to color due to its original rich reddish-brown hue (Pigment Pastes)
Silicone rubber can be easily bonded or adhered to a substrate with single-component adhesive Lukopren S - for bonding Lukopren N 5541, Lukopren S 9780 (brick shade) is suitable
