SYNHYDRID is a 70% solution of bis-(2-methoxyethoxy)sodium aluminum-hydride in toluene (determination of the contents of Al). Chemical formula of effective substance: NaAlH2(OCH2-CH2-OCH3)2. Thanks to its excellent chemical and physical properties, this agent is ideal for the hydrogenation of carboxyl and carbonyl compounds and their derivatives. It is mainly suitable for the continual isothermal polymerization of 6-caprolactam at temperatures higher than the melting point of the polymer. Its high thermal stability allows for the completion of reduction at temperatures as high as 170 °C.
